Bluebells in Girton Wood?

A walk of discovery

Saturday 20 April 2024 - 10am

The CFWI helped plant Girton wood which was part of the CFWI’s celebrations for the 75th anniversary, in 1994.  In Autumn 2018 we planted English bluebells in part of the wood. This year we hope you will join us to find these plants in flower.

Do wear your wellies, in case, and be dressed for the outdoors.

We meet at the Girton headquarters and walk to the wood from there, it’s about 2 miles.  If you don’t want to walk so far, there is an alternative place to park where you will be directed on the day.

Coffee, tea and biscuits afterwards back at HQ.

Cost: £5 per person

Closing Date: Friday 29 March 2024.

Meet at 11am in front of Great St Mary’s Church, Senate House Hill, Cambridge

This gentle walking tour of approximately 2 to 3 miles, will cover a number of works from the very famous to the less well known and will include one or two Dinky Doors, brought to us by the people who said

"We firmly believe that dinky things, discovered unexpectedly, can deliver dollops of delight against the daily onslaught of miserable miserableness"
